Automatic and real time price comparison
TheBestPrice uses a browser icon (a shopping cart icon next to your address bar) to indicate when a better price has been found, or if you have found the best price. Just by looking at TheBestPrice icon you will know if you’re making the right decision !

If TheBestPrice indicates cheaper prices (green color) , a single click on the icon will display the full list of online retailers selling the same product and their corresponding prices. Click on your preferred merchant or offer, it will immediately lead you to the right destination.

For some reason TheBestPrice may not detect the product you’re currently watching. Never mind, you can still use the embedded price search engine : click on TheBestPrice icon and enter the product keywords. Never leave the page you’re on again !

Par contre, en faisant des recherches sur Cdiscount, je n’ai aucune notification d’autres sites (inférieure, égale ou supérieure au prix) sinon ça fonctionne très bien sur des sites comme Auchan …

Hello Support Team. I think I have got the same ‘problem’ as J-R N has. Your instructions to deinstall ‘The Best Price’ do not work. I am using Safari Version 5.1 (7534.48.3) with an older version of ‘The Best Price’. Unfortunately I do not know how to look up which version exactly it is. The small pop-up window in the bottom shows me the following options: ‘Show at start’, ‘Visit online-store’, ‘Help’, ‘Comments’ and the copyright information. None of them direct me to any options page and there is no icon in the ‘Safari Extension Menu’. Thank you for your help.

we finally managed to help J-R N, so I’m sure we’ll sort out your situation too
The Best Price can be installed as a standalone extension (with a button that is shown in the toolbar), but it’s also embedded as a service in all our extensions (with a popup shown INSIDE the page).
I suggest you first try to update all of your safari extensions:
In Safari:
1. go to the preferences
2. click on Extensions
3. click on Updates in the bottom left
4. and be sure “Install Updates Automatically” is checked. If any update is waiting you can also start it right away
Once your extensions are up to date you should then be able to deactivate The Best Price popup as in our answer to J-R N
You can also check extensions’ version in the Extension tab.
We still have a few cases that could not identify when this will fail. In that case, please remove our extension:
In Safari:
1. go to the preferences
2. click on Extensions
3. click on each of the extensions you have installed; it will show a big icon, the extension name followed by the version, and “by AUTHOR”. If AUTHOR is Slice Factory, click “Uninstall”
We definitely hope the first solution will work for you. If it doesn’t, we would be grateful if you could tell us which Slice Factory extensions you had installed, and which version. Thanks a lot

Thank you for your help! I solved the problem by using your second solution. The extension itself was not in the Safari-extension-list. Another extension called ‘Dictionary’ was shown with the author ‘Slice Factory’. I am really sorry to say you that I did not check the version of it before clicking ‘uninstall’. But all information below the title related to ‘Dictionary’. ‘The Best Price’ was the only extension by ‘Slice Factory’ I used.
I downloaded “Print Plus” from your website, which seems to work nicely, but I did not intentionally download or install “The Best Price” which seems to have been installed without my knowledge or intervention.
In general, installing programs like this without informing the user, is a bit disconcerting. And not appreciated. So despite the fact that I like your printer extension, I am reluctant to recommend it to friends who also might not like the fact that an additional program is installed without their knowledge or consent. You might consider adding a sentence about this to your website, if you intend to continue this practice.

Hello Vince. We do apologize if the inclusion of TheBestPrice feature was not clearly indicated. It actually is specified on the Chrome Extension page, and our blog page; on the Safari Gallery there simply is not enough space to explain it. We are rolling out a new version of TheBestPrice that can be completely deactivated should you really not appreciate its services; it’s a matter of a few days. You can currently deactivate the popup notification, or if you really want you can uninstall Print Plus itself. We would also be interested in knowing why you are not interested – is it bothering you navigation? Is it not displaying relevant better priced offers? Is it simply because you did not wanted it in the first place? Thanks!

The Best Price is included in our extensions. You can completely disable it right inside the popup that shows up with the product suggestions. Just untick “Show offers” in the top right. Or to fully disable, click Options in the bottom right and follow the instructions. If you have any trouble, please be sure your extensions are up-to-date, and let us know which Slice Factory extensions you are using, and which version.
Le Meilleur Prix fonctionne très bien, et m’a déjà servi plusieurs fois.
Un point me gêne assez régulièrement : certains sites (PriceMinister) proposent des produits d’occasion. Il faudrait exclure les produits d’occasion de la comparaison, car on ne peut pas comparer les prix entre le neuf et l’occasion.

Works great in Safari 5.0.3 but not the icon doesn’t appear to automatically change color. Might I be doing something wrong?
Thanks Patrick. On Safari, The Best Price icon will not change color as it’s not allowed on this browser (however the icon badge will show the nb of best prices that have been found for the product you’re shopping).
The screenshots refer to the Crome version, I will post a Safari screenshot to make this clear! Sorry for the confusion.
P.S. Il y a aussi des boutiques en ligne qui exportent les biens qu’ils vendent. A ce titre, eBay a un très gros défaut: eBay ne permet pas d’effectuer un filtre sur la liste du pays de destination souhaitée. Vous seriez avisé de prendre en compte les destinations possibles des marchandises vendues par les différentes boutiques en ligne.
En Suisse, le site toppreise.ch est d’une grande utilité pour comparer les prix de produits électroniques et électroménagers. Cela pourrait vous aider à offrir vos services également pour la Suisse.

Je fais quand même une recherche complémentaire pour avoir réellement le meilleur prix.
